Anglertown Portfolio
Tait Brown worked primarily as the Producer for the animated short film Anglertown 2026. "A colourful adventure that follows two orphaned teens who discover something monstrous about their small fishing town during their Quinquennial festival. What they discover changes everything they’ve ever known." Other roles she took on included Voice Actor, Animator and in the pre-production stage, Writer and Character Designer.
Scheduling
For Scheduling I have used Microsoft Exel. I set it up so every week for the project was already there with the date each week started and alll the different deadlines throughout. I assigned shots and which parts to different people in our team and quickly learnt that I would be changing the schedule regularly when work wasn't done. It's been a massive learning curve. The schedule is integrated with our shotlist which is also in exel. As animators finish a shot they mark it in excel.
Communication
Majority of our teams communication is in Discord. I didn't set it up initially but I have added many channels and cleaned it up, adding sections to make it easier to navigate. We have an area for contact information and important links. An area that is more for sharing work on our film and a more general area for general chat about the film and other things. We also communicate through emails when required and share our running edit of the film on Flow.
Professional Outcomes
As we work on the film, using Harmony's Toonboom and Adobe After Effects, we are getting better at estimating how long it will take to animate a shot or illustrate a background which helps me with scheduling the rest of the film. As a team we are understanding where everyone sits in our pipeline more and who to go to get things done. My team is now understanding why i'm pushing for shots to get finished in the timeframe i've scheduled for example, so they're not rushing at the end of our deadline to do ten times more work.
As a team we have decided we are going to attempt to do the festival circuit and I am in charge of creating our Film Freeway Page.
